Dear Friends
First of all, I would like to thank all those who helped to make our 2010 summer camp such a success. Although it was later in the year than normal, we had a good attendance and an enjoyable time. This year also was an International Camp year. This year, the camp was held at the International Theosophical Centre in Naarden. About 25+ English members attended.
Brief Report of the Senior Council Meeting 2010
I attended the Senior Council Meeting held on Tuesday 3
rd August 2010 at the International Theosophical Centre, Naarden, Netherlands. It was agreed at this meeting that it should be policy that profits from International Camps should go to the International Fund to assist future camps. The Senior Council would then be able to assist if the host nation made a loss at any time. This was agreed unanimously.Marion Sijnja (NDL) was unanimously re-elected as International Treasurer.
The re-appointment of Dianne Hames as International Secretary was unanimously approved.
Three Knights Counsellor were elected; Rene Sijnja (Netherlands), Tehmi Pomeroy (England), Myriam O Viana Guimaraes (Brazil)
There was a lot of discussion about the international website. It was agreed that there should be a link to a secure site for members only. It was agreed by Council that there would be a small team to agree the public content of the website. This team would consist of Michael Warnon, Aukje Boerlage and Richard Bayly. The team would pass agreed content to Dianne Hames who would be responsible for getting things translated.
There was only one offer to host the next International Camp. Having got a positive response from the email that I sent out, I offered England as the venue for 2013. This offer was accepted by the Council.

Bonfire Gathering
This year’s bonfire gathering will take place at Tekels park, Camberley on
Saturday 30th October. The campsite will be open from 11am and there will be a ceremony at 2.30pm. Other activities planned include pumpkin light making, collage making and a nature walk and there will be an evening meal of soup, cheese and rolls. Cost for the day is £4 (under 3s free). This year Bethany Burrow’s term as Secretary came to an end and Kimberley Mitchell and Andy Reid stepped down as Trustees. Andy has now taken up the position of Secretary and Owen Watson-Balcam and Madeline Nightingale were voted in as Trustees.
